PED certification full name is: stress (PED) equipment. PED is a member of the European Union agreement on pressure equipment safety and issued by the mandatory laws and regulations
The difference between ASME
If and a simple comparison between ASME forensics PED certification is to specify the product safety certification, standard and ASME forensics is factory certification, this is the biggest difference between the both in nature. Worth notice is, in the PED certification, instruction is the basic security requirements of compulsory execution, and technical standard are not enforced. Unless specified by the user, manufacturers are free to choose any technical standards. To this point and domestic regulation: must enforce the national standard, targets or industry standard is not the same.
Certification scope
Maximum pressure is higher than 0.5 bar pressure equipment and components.
"Pressure equipment" refers to the container, piping, safety components and pressure parts.
PED is suitable for the European Economic Area (European Economic Area EEA) countries, namely the 15 European union countries (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Spain, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Finland, Sweden, UK), plus the European member states of the free trade agreement (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway)
